The 94 Twang is a pure single coil with 6 AlNiCo V cylindrical magnets, similar to a surf or twang style pickup.
 
The magnets are magnetized using the AMBER tecal method, contributing to a very transparent, dynamic yet fat overall sound.
 
Both magnet polarity and winding direction of both pickups are opposite, so that
 
they work hum-free in the middle position.
 
The smacking twang is also gained by this pickup through the use of the original plain enamel wire, which takes the edge off the treble.
